just got home from guarding dick chaney all weekend. k rails put out along with plenty of secret service, military, sfpd, etc. dozens of radio cars lined the streets of san francisco. there was even a war protest on sat. that wasnt the amazing part. what suprised me was there was not a single portester. not one. no one really even know he was in town. they did not publisize his arrival in town. i suggested that he put on a pair of those glasses with a fake nose and he would have accomplished the same thing without having to use all this money from the tax payers, though it was good cuz i was on o.t. $4000.00 per night at the manderin hotel. kind of felt sorry for the regualar SFPD patrol officer. they had to stand in stairwells in the ties and hats and look professional. us snipers just sat on rooftops(out of sight, out of mind). thank god for no rain.

Well, Bush did say he was going to improve the economy. Yours improved as well as several other SFPD people. I wonder, is it that no one knew he was coming or did no one care?

Back when Ronald Reagan was President, he came to town with Dick Cheney. Dick was the National Security Adviser then. The Pres. got all the security, Dick was wandering around outside the college while the Pres. was speaking. I was able to take a lot of photographs and talk with SS. I was a Staff Sergeant with the Sheriff's Office in investigations so I got to do some things that most wouldn't. They showed me the Limo and weapons and also a little on the communications setup, but not much. Very interesting how they work. I was about 5 feet from the Pres. and about 30 feet from Dick Cheney.
