I saw a post here not too long ago agout a guy having trouble getting the clutch rod to fit in his 69. I am switching from auto to manual in my 69. I know a kid that is doing just the opposite in his 68. He wants to trade pedal assemblies, but from what I read I think they are different. Is this correct? or is the rod the only thing that is different? Please clear this up for me.

I THINK the difference is the 69 pedal has a second hole for the rod attachment. For some pictures see

This may also be of some help.....

I will be running a t56 setup if that makes any difference. I guess I should go ahead and trade, since I will have no use for the autmatic/brake pedal.

I think you're probably right. The T56 setup probably requires some pedal modifications anyway. You may want to check this link for some good advice

The second hole (upper - smaller) in the '69 clutch pedal is for a plastic bushing for the link rod to the clutch safety switch. The other (larger - lower) hole is for the clutch pushrod.

John, will the 67/68 pedal assembly work for my 69? I will be making the trade this evening.

Don't know for sure - the pushrod hole is 3/8" lower on the pedal on the '67-'68 pedal, which is probably why the '69 pushrod has a bend in it and the '67-'68 rod does not.

My Classic Industries catalogue says that the clutch pedal will fit but the brake pedal is different. Since you are using the T-56 I'd start with that and maybe you can make it work. If not then the ones that do fit are only like $80.
