hi everyone,first time here. I've been looking for the a/c muffler for my 68 396 camaro.The assembly manuel shows only one type to cover all V-8's,. Is this true? I'm getting different stories from all the venders i've contacted.Some say 68 was a one year only,with an aluminum L-shped bracket
that bolted to the compressor to give extra support,others say a steel metal strap was used around the compressor for support. Anyone know whats right and/or know where to get one. Thanks in advance

The steel strap was 67, The "L" braced ones are 68 and 69.I don't think I've even seen an "L" brace in 67..
