hi all; i am new and soooo glad i found this site. ok so here goes the first post and this all new to me so, please bear with the lack of lingo/knowledge.
I started looking around for my first classic car to buy/re-build last week. Finally looked at ithis one last nite:
'69 camaro SS 350 w/ 350 turbo-trans,totally taken down to bare metal. There are boxes and boxes of GM parts even GM bolts; still in shrink wrap. Car is totally steel; (i know the owner of the body shop that did the base coat). All new steering/rotors/shocks/springs,exterior wire harness; all new parts everywhere. Oh; 23,400 miles on it. Car is currently in "rolling condition" front end not on;engine /trans not in..interior looks to be ~85% done.
(OK; hang on; little more info then the questions ..lol.)
I "was" just looking for a "toy" ; you all know; dinged up; aftermarket parts..sloppy care..etc..but this came along so if i am going to re-build this classic and this one certainly is deserving of it; what do i need to do to check it out?
vin number/ engine number obv.
but what else?
->>approx. "value" as is ? <--(important)
what will make this car even more valuable? what makes it less valuable?
What does a "pure-ist" look for ?
---thanks in advance for your reply http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
ps; yes; i fell in love...good thing the wife learned to drive w/ a '69 camaro; so she is in love too!
