Thanks so much Matt ZZ430DropTop67RS Jun 1st, 02, 11:00 AM Is there a hex in the end of the shaft that you could hold with an allen wrench? ------------------ Don~ ZZ430DropTop (http://hometown.aol.com/zz430droptop67rs) ~~~~and~~~~ 70 RS/Z28 (http://hometown.aol.com/performancespecs) 67 RS/SS Convertible, 70 RS/Z28 Silver69Camaro Jun 1st, 02, 11:08 AM Either use the allen wrench with the box end wrench method (allen wrench to keep the rotor from spinning, box end to losen the nut) or just use an impact wrench. The rotor wont even know what happened when you pull the trigger, the nut will just come right off. If the nut is a bit tight, then put the alternator on a piece of cardboard (or ground), put your foot on the fan, then whack it with the impact wrench. ------------------ 1969 Base Camaro Vortec 355, Perf. You will need to change the fan if you are putting a wide pulley on, and change the spacer. Good Luck. matth Jun 2nd, 02, 07:40 PM Thanks for your help |
