View Full Version : What's the Best year for the first Generation and Why? ummgawa Jul 17th, 02, 03:11 PM I like the 69 for the vast array of engine/trans/option combos... CFunK Jul 17th, 02, 03:20 PM Uhm, I would say '67 or '68. They are the true 1st Gen. The '69 was like a 1st Gen and a half in my mind. But you might want to move this to Bench Racing. -Funk ummgawa Jul 17th, 02, 03:25 PM CFunk I thought about that, but I thought it might draw some expertise from those that do not venture deeper into this forum. Kapish? Teetoe_Jones Jul 17th, 02, 05:01 PM 68 is the best year first gen. I can steal parts from both 67, and 69. And they look better than any other year. I am totally biased. http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif Tyler ------------------ 68-LT1-T56 50/50 Judd Jul 17th, 02, 05:06 PM It is relative, really. I love the fat fenders and stance of the 68 but, I own a 69. Maybe, if I were you, and if I really wanted to know, I would pull out some Road & Tracks from the era and compare stats. Most just love the Camaro, no matter what year, motor or condition. I like mustard on hot dogs but, I suppose you like ketchup. ------------------ 1969, X-44, Export Model, Hugger Orange, Std. It's the '69's that have the fat fenders! zuma Jul 17th, 02, 06:30 PM I have owned a 67 and now a 69, I like the 69 more because GM only made this body style one model year and with the squared fender wells it has a more agressive look than the 67 or 68, don't get me wrong I like all three years, but 69 is for me...Mike http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif JIM68 Jul 17th, 02, 06:33 PM I actually hate the way 69's look, inside and out. 68's all the way! ------------------ 1968 Coupe (http://www.camaros.net/cgi-bin/xchange/xchange.cgi?search_and_display_db_button=on&db_id=313&exact_match=on&photo_size=full), 327/210hp project in process.
