I'm bringing a 67 convertible back to life. I'm on a budget, and am concentrating on the mechanics of the car for now. . . and will worry about the body, etc. later. I do want to be able to put the top down, as it's basically missing the plastic rear window. It is a power top that doesn't work yet, and I get resistance when I try to manually take the top down. What suggestions do you guys have to take it down for cruising until I can spend some time trouble shooting the power top?
Much appreciated.

Disconnect the power top cylinders from the top to lower it manually.

Hey BikerTrash,

I'm from Champaign too! I'm just finishing up a ground up resto on a 69 Z/28. It will be nice to see another 1st gen cruising around town. There sure aren't very many around here.

I can just about tell you anything that you ever wanted to know about a 67 convertible. If you have any questions, just ask.
