Hi,

I've got a complete scrap 89 GMC Safari Van 4.3L V6 with a 700R4, I also have a 68 Camaro...

Is there anything off the Van which I could use in my Camaro?.. Just wondering before I trash it??

Thanks

The spare tire should be on a 17 inch rim. Great for clearing disc brakes.

How do the fluids look? Some of those might be compatible. http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif

How about the 700R4? I know I could use one in my '68, since it has 4.11 gears in the back...

Maybe I'll use the air in the tires http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif

No, seriously I'm gonna pull the 700R4, and maybe abapt the serpentine belt accessory bracket, and maybe it'll work, and also the U-joint style steering shaft, good for A-body upgrades, couldn't think of anything else...

It has a 10 bolt posi in it, any good?

thanks

Measure the width of the rear end, I believe they are the same as a S-10. I know the ones under our 95 S-10 blazer K-9 units at work were right at the same width as my 10 bolt. The mechanics thought the officer might miss it so I left it in. http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif Actually I was looking for what would fit to replace my open 10 bolt.
