How do you remove the bearing houseing pivot pins on a 69 tilt column? I am trying to install an ignition switch rod. I am also trying to locate an ignition switch rod for a 69 tilt column.

The pins are tapped(if I remember right 10/32 threads). Thread a screw into them and I use a pry bar or cats claw(carpenter tool) and pry them out. Have the tilt all the way up helps.
