Actually, it's closer to 3300. An L-48 coupe is 3200#, not counting options like auto trans, power brakes or steering, radio, A/C, etc.

Jess (Mr Grumpy) just weighed his '69 Z/28 on accurate scales and came in close to 3500 lbs with a full tank, spare and a couple chairs.
