Its the one with the Space Marines doing battle with an army of alien creatures? Anyway what I am looking for is the device they "the marines" were using to locate them. Its a small radar like device that they kept attached to the muzzle of their m-16s. If anything like this exists in real life and is avaliable to the general public, where can I find it? So far I've searched every known website possible and nothing came up....If possible, please help!

Hmm, a motion detector? I'm pretty sure those exist, but I could be wrong. Jeez, between Team Chevelle and Team Camaro, there have been 3 posts about the Aliens and the Predator movies in the past day. Is Sci-Fi running a marathon this week? :D

By the way, Aliens is the sequel, to Alien. Alien 3 is the sequel to Aliens.

Those were not M-16's either......they were Pulse Rifles. Duh.

Find a book or two on RADAR and/or effects of Doppler in RADAR principals. The hard part is going to be scaling down the size for a display that you will not need a wagon to carry it around in.... graemlins/clonk.gif

How odd. I just turned on the TV and Aliens was on. Weird.

hmmm... NASA lands a rover on Mars, and all of a sudden people are talking about and watching movies not only ABOUT aliens, but CALLED aliens... hmm...
i think someone should start a thread regarding the scientific merits of the principles of the translator box in "Mars Attacks" that only says "we come in peace"...
