View Full Version : What about the trim tag?

For those of you who have "correct" engine compartments; Do you have your trim tag painted 30% gloss black or natural? I'm sure this is personal preference but was curious what anyone thought. Thankx, John

Tag was affixed to the firewall before the roof was installed on the rear half of the body (have a picture of a 67 on the line this way) therefore it was there before the car was painted, and it should be black.

I have a LA car and Norwood, both black with no paint underneath. Must have been painted along with firewall.

Mine is black but I got tired of guys laying so far into the engine compartment at shows to read it that I took fine steel wool and lightly removed paint from letter and number surfaces to make it easier to see. It looks good that way also! Jim
