My car is a original six cyl. Every catalog I look in shows a throttle cable instead of linkage. My car has linkage like a smallblock. Any ideas?

From what I remember the 67s used a mechanical linkage and the 68 up used cables. I had a cable linkage on my 68 and used a Lokar cable when I switched carburetors. Do you need a new linkage?

No, I was just wondering. I am installing a smallblock and I wanted to use a cable. Does the locar cable use the original pedal?

I would have to check my catalog but I believe Lokar has a setup that utilizes the original pedal.

Mine was an orig six, and has the hard linkage, I bent my old rod to fit untill I made my polished linkage from alumium round stock, and tapped the ends, and used sphearical rod ends.. very smooth.
