I know several people have done the autometer 5 inch speedo in the origianl 68 dash swap. I performed this last weekend with little difficulty until I tried to hook up the speedo cable (TH350 tranny, soon to be a 700r4). The cable comes up about 1-2 inches short of the new speedo. Anybody else have this problem?

I have the same thing 5" tack found out there are two sizes of cable. One was 55" and the other was 62 I thick thats what the chevy dealer told me had to mach mine up pull out the old book and another dealer had it in stock.Take it and mach it no problem now.

I switched to electrical with my gauges so I didn't have to worry about the cable.
