: Anyone ever see this rear bumper set up on a camaro?
JIM68 Apr 11th, 03, 11:11 PM I took this pic at the 2001 All GM show in Carlisle, PA. Are those vertical bumper things available aftermarket? I might want to black my rear out like that.

Unreal Apr 12th, 03, 02:09 AM Hard to tell from the pic, but they might be 69 bumperettes. On a 69, the bottom bolts into a weld nut in the tail panel. Looks like the driver side is not bolted. You could get a used bumperette and grind it to fit, and then have it rechromed. I have a beat up one that I can send you to mess with if you are interested.
DOUG G Apr 12th, 03, 03:55 AM Yes they are the bumperetts, 67-69 had them as an option.

KRhat Apr 12th, 03, 09:12 AM They are also called bumper guards. Try Classic, Ricks, or Year One. They are in catalogs. I think that the blacked out rear panel come with the "SS" package. Rhat
JIM68 Apr 12th, 03, 11:32 AM Thanks guys, I know the common black out came on the Big Block cars, but that was the first black out i've seen where it went all the way down. I think it looks good, but only with those bumper extensions.
TOMSTV Apr 12th, 03, 02:11 PM That's my extra large, take home family size, super duty, trunk light :D It lights up the trunk like the sun.And remember! a day without sunshine is like night graemlins/waving.gif

1967 Panther Apr 13th, 03, 09:25 AM Those are bumper-ettes, not bumper guards, and standard on all 67's and 69's. No 68's had them.
