What is the lenth (stud to center of gearbox output shaft) of the pitman arms used for N44 steering? I found a car in a junkyard with the stubby steering arms and fat centerlink, but someone snagged the box.

Yes, it is fast ratio, but it lacks the "firm feel". I replaced my N44 with an AGR unit. I kept the original just in case I ever want it all original. pdq67 Apr 15th, 03, 06:56 PM Hope this helps, I special ordered quick ratio non-power steering on my car in Oct., '66 and it has the long pitman arm and the short outer spindle arms!!! The box makes right at 3.5 turns "bumper lock to bumper lock"!! I am converting it over to power b/c it is such a bear to parallel park!!! pdq67 |
