View Full Version : 160 MPH speedometer....
67_camaro Apr 15th, 03, 07:08 PM I have a guage pack that has a 160 MPH speedometer in it, it's for either a 67 or 68. I have tried to find out what package this was originaly in but I can't.
Anyone have any info on this?
Thanks,
Lee
HawaiianCamaro Apr 15th, 03, 07:18 PM Firebird item for 67 & 69's
unless its in KPH which might mean its a Export cluster but I think they are 200 KPH as they were in the Philippines
Geezer Apr 16th, 03, 05:13 AM That will be a 68 Firebird. The faces are a sort of gunmetal blue instead of black, and the inside of the housing is painted blue for the back lighting instead of green. The 68 Firebird heater controls are the same way with a blue, back lighting, lens.
67_camaro Apr 16th, 03, 05:43 AM Thanks, no wonder I couldnt find it! Why did the firebird get the higher speed numbers?

davidpozzi Apr 16th, 03, 07:43 PM I guess Firebirds are faster! ;)
I bought one to install in my 67, the color of the numbers is kinda white, not green like it should be.
On my 67 speedo, the bottom of the numbers all point toward the needle spindle center. The Firebird speedo has the numbers level and are actually easier to read.
Mine might be from a 68?
