While crawling under my 69 for a prespring inspection I noticed a notch worn in the header on the drivers side. Turns out to be the rod that goes from the tranny to the column to unlock the steering wheel. It sits about 1-1/2 to 2" above the header. They are stock motor mounts (69) and they dont seem broken and I can't let them to lift that much in the drive way. Is this normal under HARD acceleration ???
