I sent a picture of my RS to him to enter into his contest last year. Of all the pics at the end of the year he would select a ride, and draw a MAD Version. I was shocked to find out I had won and he just sent me a progress picture that he says is unfinished. Im shocked at how cool it looks. Looks like I will be looking for some rims soon!

Does look good! Too bad I couldn't get the guy to answer my e-mails or quit talking to his buddy at the Sacto Autorama long enough for me to pursue that...... stood there 15 minutes while they bs'd. His girlfriend knew I wasn't happy when I left. Wouldn't even acknowledge me.

Jody thats pretty crazy. I bet you were pissed, but I think your Horton rendering looks killer. I hope I am forunante enough to see both of you guys camaros in person someday! Maybe if I am lucky again, I can drive them :eek:

That seems to be a common trait amongst 2D artists. I spoke with one at SEMA who was a complete a$$hole to me because I wasn't an "artist" and went on to tell me how much better Chip Foose is than me (um...I'm only 20.) Both my girlfriend and I were kind of insulted. I don't know how Desmond is though.

I can understand that. In my post though I was referring to the hostility I get (as well as other 3D modelers) from 2D artists. It might be that they are threatened or don't consider it art. I can swallow my pride and compliment a nicely done work of 2D art any day. I know it takes great talent to be good at either medium, I just don't understand the hostility. Most of it comes from art students rather than professionals though.

I think it'd be neat to see a 2D version of the car I rendered. If I had enough free time, I would do it for you, but I haven't picked up my sketch pad in a while due to business. I'm sure Desmond or McBride would do a good job, though McBride might be a bit more approachable.
