I have an 89 Camaro RS 2.8L. I have looked in my chiltons for the wiring schemes, but thus far have been unable to. What I am looking to do is install a new head unit. Does anybody know a good source I might be able to find these wiring schemes for the car stereo harness. graemlins/beers.gif

some stores like the wiz or pc richards sell direct wiring harnesses that you can plug inline to your existing harness and into the new head unit(no wire cutting necessary). Otherwise you can rewire your new unit using the wiring schematic that comes with the new unit and just find: 12V(ignition), 12V(constant), ground, and 4 pair of speaker wires. Those are the basics.

Thanks for the fast reply. The previous owner has cut the orginal wiring harnes all I am left with is some cut wires hanging. I have figured out the speakers. But I am left with the following wires:

Black - I'm guessing is the ground.
Yellow - I think is going to the radio fuse.
Orange/Black - not sure.
Pink - not sure.
Gray - not sure.
Brown - not sure.
