I am installing a new well liner on my 69 and have a couple of questions that someone out there might know the answer to...

How does the well liner on a 69 attach behind the rear seat? Is this accomplished with weatherstrip adhesive or is there some sort of a clamp or bracket? Does it attach above or over the rear seat hooks (located on the backrest frame)?

Also, I noticed that the new well liner has seams with wings on the sides. Do the tips of these wings tuck in behind the rear top trim sticks?
I don't know what the well liner is supposed to look like when its done but I don't recall being able to see the trim sticks once it is all back together.

Any direction on this is appreciated.
thanks

Japper, the well liner is glued (spray contact cement) to the top of the rear seat support. It should only overlap about an inch or so. So way above the hooks, but enough so you cannot see the seat support when seat is installed.

The wings (and whole liner) are stapled to the trim sticks sandwiched in between top and trim sticks. The well liner goes over the top of the sticks, so they are hidden from view when top is up.

Luck, Kevin

one other think to add to that. make sure you dont have it too tight. you should keep it more loose then tight. if it is too tight, the top might not fold down all the way.
