I am curious if anyone knows a way to drop the power windows in my doors that are already removed from my car (68 Camaro). They are in the 'up' position and I want to drop them down into the door so that they'll be protected. I thought someone told me there was a trick using a car battery and some nails in the holes. Anyway...any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Ground the motor and apply power to one of the terminals

Are you talking about the Window motor or the engine of the car?

Can you elaborate a little more on what your talking about?

Using a 12V battery, connect the negative to a metal part of the power window motor, touch the positive to one of the power window motor's terminals. One of the terminals is for raising the window while the other lowers it.

FYI, on my 69, i believe it was the blue wire was up and the brown wire was down. Just did this last week.
