View Full Version : throttle linkage.... Spongebob Jul 24th, 03, 11:26 AM Anybody convert their throttle linkage over from the rod to a cable? What's the best way to go? Any pictures? Chad Mike's67 Jul 24th, 03, 10:47 PM I switched to all LOKAR stuff. Throttle, TV, and dipsticks. My link should be in the sig Mike Spongebob Jul 25th, 03, 06:29 AM Mike, Was the install pretty straight forward? How did it hook up on the gas pedal side? By the way, what seats are those??? They look great! Chad Mike's67 Jul 25th, 03, 08:21 AM Thanks Chad. The seats are SCAT Procar seats. They weigh 13 lbs ea. A friend bought them for his full race Gia @ $599 ea. Never used them and sold em to me for $150 ea. graemlins/thumbsup.gif The Lokar setup bulkheads to the firewall easily. The only thing is you have to modify the gas pedal By welding a piece of metal about 4" long to it for the end of the cable to attach to. I can take a pic if you decide to go this way. It works great and is very smooth. Spongebob Jul 25th, 03, 09:37 AM Hehehe...I just noticed the seats in are your signature. redface.gif If you can send me the pics from the pedal side that would be great. Whenever you get a chance. chads@adelphia.net Thanks, Mike! graemlins/thumbsup.gif Geezer Jul 27th, 03, 04:14 AM I think most of the 68-9 Firebirds and 6 cylinder Camaro’s used a cable linkage. That would be the easiest way to change it over. |
