I have a 69 camaro that is as far from stock as it can be. I spun a carrier bearing and need help with size(8.2 or 8.5) I do not want to pull out the pinion so I dont have to reset pinion depth,lazy I know but I dont have the tools(air power) at my home. the part number on the ring gear is gm10 410 mk. all the mag's I have show the 4:10 only in a 8.5,but for 70 and up, and also for 7.5 but the shape of the gasket is not right. I have a Jegs diff support cover that the casting # matches one for a 8.2 or 8.5 if any one can help please it has been 3 weeks sence I have driven my baby

The gear folks would find your problem faster if you posted this in the Tranny and Rear End section where they tend to hang out. Maybe rephrase your question too, it was kind of hard to follow. Im sure there will be some folks that can help you. good luck.
