To my understanding in the mide year of product of the 69 camaro the battery post terminal location went for top post to side post terminals, could anyone let me know when this was?
Would a O6A build car be side or top terminal?/

The standard duty side post battery was phased in about March of 1969 so your car would have a side post.
However, if the heavy duty (RPO-T60) battery was ordered, it could be a top post up until about July of 69.
I don't have exact dates for production switch over for either battery, but this should give you some clue as to which your's had.
