A friend and are having a little disagreement and he says all SS including convertables had the left hand hanger mount plate and I was always under the impression convertables did not have it, now I'm questioning the fact is my SS really a SS? It has everything except exhaust hanger, it even has a the numbers block? What gives?

ss verts did not have the hangers due to the thicker frame.

The rear frame rails are thicker on a conv? I didn't know that. I thought additional stiffness was from the other bracing.

The steel used on the vert frame rails is almost twice as thick as the coupe grame rails. Hence, no exhaust hanger reinforcement plate is needed.
