I have a set of Hooker Super Comps in 13/4 and they are just to big. I have had wires burned the right rear plug is a nightmare to remove and it always burns my plug cap, plus the 31/2 inch collectors hit everything. So what I want to do is change them out for another set of normal 15/8 3inch collector headers. Whereas my question comes into play, I have heard many horror storys of ill fitting headers, bad quality etc. Who makes a good fitting header that is coated (preferably Jet Hot) inside and out.

If $$$ is a concern than the Dynomax Ceramic Coated headers are a bargain @ ~$220.

Hows the fit and mounting? Money is somewhat of a concern, but I spend up to about 350.00 or so. maybe more if I sweet talk my wife and get the honeydos somewhat finished (hell even started) would go along way.

I have the dynomax on my 69 vert. Fit is good, last bolt by the #8 cylinder is a bitch to get in. The collectors dont hang much lower than the subframe.
