Hey,guys-Paula and I got back early this week from a vacation in Aruba! Wow.what a cool place!We went there to celebrate a "milestone" birthday for me-50 freaking years old! OUCH!!!!But Aruba is fantastic,if you ever get the chance to go,I strongly suggest you do.We went snorkeling,went on a jeep tour,rented a car and did our own exploring,we just had a great time.Of,course this included a lot of taking it easy on the beach,too.
An added bonus is,Aruba is owned by the Dutch,so many Europeans vacation there....on the beach....with not a lot of clothes on....follow me? There was one particular little blonde sweety who made for a very enjoyable week on the beach,if you catch my drift!! Of course,I'm so old now that I kept falling asleep.Just kidding,guys,I know that some of you out there are gettin' on in years,just like me! I still feel like a kid,but my belly's getting big and my hair's falling out! That sucks! I'm lucky to have Paula,she keeps me going!

happy birthday. Aruba is a fantastic place. was it windy at all? it gets pretty windy there. did you get enough of the divi divi tree? i think that is what it was called. its been about 8 years since i had been there. i usually try to plan my vacations where i can gamble and Aruba was one of those places.

I'm not much for travel, however my wife loves to. She coaxed me into going to Aruba with the special "scenery". We booked a room at a small hotel outside the highrise area where it is more "liberal". As soon as we get to the room I throw open the patio curtains. Seated in a lounge chair just outside our room is a bright red thong wearing sunbather! As we stand their in our American awe the sunbather stands up and turns around. THE WRONG PACKAGE WAS STUFFED INTO THAT RED THONG! We both laughed untill we cried. The next sight on the beach was a young woman a good eight months pregnant. Good thing the bar was open. The beach volleyball later in the week made up for it. ;)

Carl-I don't think Dennis is going to let those pictures fly unless they have the family friendly fuzzy things in the wrong places.

We stayed at the Marriott and loved it. Swimming, snorkeling the wrecks off a catamaran, windsurfing, and then a taxi to shopping and dinner. What's not to like? :D We felt very safe as well. Also, it's below the hurricane belt so you can go in July or August and not risk weather - it was sunny every day we were there - 82 degrees. graemlins/hurray.gif

I have a bunch of pictures but I just got the digital camera and haven't yet figured out how to post them so it will be a little while.Unfortunately,I have NO PICS of the blonde Dutch girl.I couldn't just walk up to her and ask her to "Say cheese" or something,now could I??!!It would have been tough to get that one by Paula,too.Sorry,guys,you'll just have to take your own tropical vacation!
