Are the engine mount bolts supposed to be installed with the nuts facing up or down. Below is a pic of my mounts before my resto started. I left them that way, is that correct?

All the ones I take apart have had the nuts on the bottom. Makes it really hard to put them back together ! :D

Thats what I thought. :( I guess I need to switch them around, good thing I didnt put the engine in on Friday like I planned.

Jonesy, could be creative like the guy that put my mounts in long before I bought it. Only 1 bolt in the one side, and its upside down too. Winter project is replace them all the right way. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I have had them both ways,it depends if its a Norwood car or a Los built car and sometimes side to side will be different and power steering hose clamp will make a difference.

Well, I actually read the assy manual and it shows them with the nut inside the frame, so all you should see is the bolt head. It took me about 20 minutes to straighten mine out today. Then I got to install my engine and trans!!
