First off, being in the service (USAF), I would like to thank the Guys who set up the site for their nice Banner up top!!! Remerging and thankfulness is good!!!
My question to you guys is that I heard the 396 Oil pan from a 69 Chevelle is different from that of a Camaro??? Is this true? The Part Vendors such as Classic Industries and D&R speak of this. I Called the GM Parts department and he stated that all 1965-1970 except for Corvette are the same. Can anybody confirm this and is their a right on Repro pan out there???

Tom, you can get the "correct" oil pan from GM.

I bought a repo pan for my 396, and it did not have the proper internal baffles, sent it back. Went to a dealer, after a bit of research he was able to order the correct one.

Let me know if you need the GM part number.

Yes, please send the part #. Can you take a pic of your bottom side? I want to compare to what I have. Thanks, Tom

You've got mail...

Gm part number is 14091488. My Camaro is a '68, but I think they were the same.
