Hi, I have a 68 rs and when I bought it, it was in pieces. I am putting the headlight assy back together and I have one side that was still together.. so I have some reference. My question is the piece that the actuator attaches to seems to be missing on the passenger side. Does anyone know if they make a aftermarket or used part for this?..and if so were? and what do they call this piece? ..thanks for the help

Front of the actuator or the back?

Do you have pictures or a better desciption of what you are trying to find from the other side?

There are not too many parts they do not make so I bet they have it.

Ken, most of the resto companies carry nearly all the parts you might need. Our site sponosor Ground Up has them as do others. Most of them also have online catalogs too.
Getting those darn things to work is another story.

I will try and get a picture ...but it would be the back side of the actuator ...the non plunger side. I have the small bracket that goes on the back of the actuator ...it has two hole in it....I need the piece that (it) attaches too. It runs from the frame to the out side of the lower side valance panel. It is about 7 inches long made of steel. Hopes that makes it a little clearer...thanks for the response.

They are called Large Actuator Brackets and Classic Industries has them in pairs for 44.95 part number C24.

That should get you going, and I would advise getting one of their catalogs since all their parts are in color

Good deal! It is sometimes hard to tell what parts people are talking about in some areas due to all the little parts, pins and what look like brackets but are actually not called brackets.

Old post but thought id reuse this post instead of starting a new one.

The large actuator brackets for a 68 RS where do they mount on the fender? I am using the RICKS RS inner fender wells which are pre drilled for the RS setup but the holes I think are missing for mounting the brackets. Anybody got any pictures?
