anyone know where i can find pics of the 1969 zl1 show car chevy made. it was a black rs with gold z28 stripes. im thinkin of making a trubute car (not a clone... thats for you unreal).

There are some development pix in "The Great Camaro" book by Michael Lamm. B&W pix but you get the idea. Black car with gold Z/28 stripes and special grill emblems.

I have seen pix of the other development car but I forget where.

I did not get these off the internet. I scanned them into a file. I don't know how to attach a file to my reply. I emailed them to skeletor, but will post them, here, if someone can train me.

A guy named Al Wallace in Dayton, Ohio built the car (ZL-1 one off clone) you are asking about. Steve Reyes did a photo shoot some time ago that was in Super Chevy. My best of memory says it appeared two to three years ago. Al got the car out of California, a ZL-1 and trans out of Florida, and ahd the car restored and istalled the ZL-1. He got the plans/documentation from GM and went from there. It is a very neat car, well done, but I haven't seen it or Al for several years.
