Where can you get steel rivets to hold the Solenoids in the door? I'm told that regular rivets will not hold the solenoid in place. I asked at the local hardware store, and they looked at me like I was nuts.

Check out McMaster/Carr. They are huge in the supply business. If you can't find it here, no-one has it.

Small nuts and bolts will work. Just use some loktite on them too, or nylok nuts.
