Couldn't find this combo in the archives. Need headers for a 69 with factory A/C and the ZZ4 Fastburn 385 heads and PS. I emailed Hooker, they said they don't have a header for this combination. They said the 2131-1HKR would fit the heads and a 69 but not A/C. Has anyone else found headers for this combination?

Try Hedman, I have their shorties on my BBC, and they look like there would be no problem with AC.

I have a 69 with 383, pro topline angle plug heads with a/c and 4 speed. I contacted every header manufacturer I could find. Hooker super comp were the only one that said they would fit and they did not. They hit the a/c box which I cut a little and then fiberglassed. They fit great otherwise. Sanderson I think would have worked with an auto.

Not too many options! Sounds like the shorties are the way to go. Stacy, how much is "a little" and does it show?
Heretic, you have shorties on a Big Block but you think Hedman's SBC shorties would work for me?

I had to cut the edge off the bottom where if forms an angle, about an inch. You cant see it from the top side at all. And if you smooth up the fibergalss and paint the box you cant really tell it from the bottom.

So you did this with the box still in the car?
