I was wondering if clear powdercoating a master cylinder would maintain the appearance of the cast iron? My master cylinder needs to be sleeved and think it should be coated before machining. Any thoughts?

I would have it powdercoated after sleeving and before installing pistons and seals. The company that sleeves it will need to clamp on the master cylinder with a vise or fixture and would probably damage new powdercoating. Brent

Save your $$$. Just spray a clear coat on it. I did and mine looks great.
