I am installing missing washer spray nozzles and this putty came with them. Where does it go?

Anyone know of a good facsimile I could pick up cheap, say at the local Home Depot?

Similar to plumber's putty.

I picked up a small box of Dum-Dum at a local auto paint store, for only about $8 bucks, It shouldn't be too hard to find...Plumbers puddy has alot of linseed oil in it, I don't know if that would be the right stuff to use IMO...Mike smile.gif

What color was the putty used originally? I have a glob of putty used on the kick panel seal that is medium grey. The dum-dum (3M strip seal) is black.

I've used gray stuff by Frost-King, I think, at Lowe's.

I use 3m window weld (butyl tape). 3m also sells 'strip caulk'.
