i have a 1987 RS, that had a 2.8L V6, but i want to put in a carbed 350. My question is what would i have to do to make a mechanical fuel pump replace the electric fuel pump? If anyone could give me some ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to the Club! I would believe one of two avenues could be taken. 1. Unplug the f/pump relay so it doesn't come on and connect the inlet hose to the existing fuel line and cap off the return line. 2. Use the existing pump, use a Holley pressure regulator, and plumb one outlet to the carb inlet and the second outlet of reg, to the return line, adjust for 5-7 lbs.
