A friend is restoring a 69 Camaro and needs to replace the axles in his 12 bolt rearend, he wants to use factory original axles and not aftermarket.
What axles will interchange with the 1st generation Camaro's 12 bolt rearend?

I believe a 68-72 or so will exchange but not positive. I'm going to move it to the rear end section, I think you'll get more responses.

Oops, I looked for a Rearend section but didn't realize that it was part of the Transmission section.
I'm guessing that 68-72 Nova and 1st gen Firebirds will interchange, is that true and is there others?

The '67-'69 Camaro, '68-'70 Nova and '65-'67 Chevelle 12 bolt axles are the same.

My friend mentioned that he thought those years Chevelle's would work too, I thought they would have had longer axles. Is there similar models from other GM divisions that have axles that will work and have the same bolt circle for the wheels?

No, the Chevy 12 bolt axles are the only ones that will work.
