I have a little leak at the speedo gear on my Muncie. Should there be an O ring to help seal it?

Doesn't seem like the "keeper" and the bolt are holding it firm as it is now.

I'm referring to the speedo gear bearing retainer nut--does it need an O ring?

Sorry to jump in - but contact your friendly local trans shop, or better yet, go to your local hardware store and get an assortment. If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, you can get an assortment of about 7 million O-rings for about $3.50.
