Looked all over the net, can't find any instructions on replacing the drive gear in my TCI TH350 tranny. My guess is I need to disconnect the driveshaft, and dismantle the back half of the transmission. Am I correct?
Anyone have any advise on this or maybe instructions with a few pictures? Or is it just so simple that I should just get under there with some tools and start pulling things apart?
Going with a 7 Drive Gear and a 20 Driven Gear to correct for my 3.73 rear end and 27" diameter tires.

Further searching shows I need to remove the tailshaft housing. Question is, when I do this, how much fluid is going to dump? Will it continue to flow until I place this housing back on or will it just dump a quart and then I can fill that back in once I place the housing back on?

If the tranny has been sitting long enough, you shouldn't loose more than several tablespoons full. I wouldn't expect even a cup of fluid to drain out. Just enough to make a mess.
