I ordered my TCI Streetfighter convertor today, I'm wondering (after reading some past posts) if I should have ordered the Super StreetFighter instead. Is the regular Streetfighter going to work for me and how is my car going to idle in gear with it. I'm thinking I may have cheaped out, thinking that I didn't need a 3800 - 4000 stall that comes with the Super StreetFighter. The regular StreetFighter Says it will stall between 3400 - 3600. The wife said $600 CAN was enough for a convertor, But I want to make sure it's going to have a good idle in gear, so if I have to reorder the SuperSF then what she doesn't know won't hurt her.
The advertized Stall of the Regular SuperSF is that refering to flash stall or when foot braking it.
Steve Oldani a note from you would be great.

Dean, I just checked my email too, I would have thought that the SSF is a better choice with its higher stall speed. The stall speed is what it will flash to, as not many stock brake systems will let you get to the 4000 area. When you say $600 Cdn, where are you ordering it from? I don't know the details about shipping to Canada real well, I did once sell some used mountain bike parts to a guy up there, it was some time ago though. I sell the TCI SSF #241000 10" for $345 in the US, but am unsure of how that translates into Canadian $'s.

Steve the #241000 10 inch convertor is the one I ordered but I think that it is just the regular StreetFighter. I'm ordering it from a neaby speedshop, the exchange is about 50% and then we have 7% federal tax and 6% provincial sales tax, I don't think that there would be duty on it though. Is there any way of knowing what rpm it is going to footbrake at.
How is it going to idle in gear with this convertor.
Thanks

Jeez, you can tell I was up too late last night! You are right on the #'s. The SF is the one you got, the SSF is #241022 and is $385. It will idle fine for you, but the stall may be a bit lower than what you really want, my guess is somewhere around 3600 or so for a flash stall speed. Sorry for the wrong info! graemlins/clonk.gif
