I broke a spider gear and damage the carrier this weekend. Need to know where I can get a new carrier to replace the damaged one.
Original single track .308 geras. 10 bolt.
I knew the wheel hop would get me one of these days..
New springs will be ordered also, to stop wheel hop..

What are you looking to do? Keep a single legger (used should be cheap)? Upgrade to posi (a nice new Eaton unit is $450 or so)?
New multi-leaf springs would help but may not solve the hop on a 67. You may need CalTrac bars or something similar.
I remember the 67 hop. My coupe in high school would leave sewing machine style rubber stiches when I hammered it.

I think that the Eaton posi unit will be the way to go. I can not locate a new carrier, do not want to hunt for a used one in wrecking yards.
The spring shop here say that their multi leaf sprinf should eleiminate the hop, if not a set of bar will be added then...Most traction bars are not recommended for mono leaf...
The wheel hop is horrible, don't have to get on it much to make them hop... Hopefully the spring will stop it.. Really don't want bars hanging dowm under the car, it is all original...

I have a the open carrier out of my car as I replaced with a posi unit. Mine came out of a 68 8.2 3.08 set up, let me know if you are interested. I would have to ship it, but it would be cheap.

The new Eaton posi is $360, plus about $15 shipping, $40 for bearings and $22 for a shim set to reset the backlash.
