I have a 96 Camaro V-6, and when I am driving down the road and the car switches into second gear it makes a loud vibrating sound...it doesnt vibrate the car or anything it just sounds awefull and I was wondering if my trans. is going out or what..I have no idea and I need help before i take it to a mechanic and he rip me off because they do sometimes do that to women. Oh by the way it is an automatic. Thank you for your time!!!

Could be anything from a bad mount to the bushing for the torque arm ?

Is this just since you ran over a large animal?
