Is the clutch fork from a 6 cylinder the same as that for a SB chevy. I robbed all my standard trans stuff from a 6 cylinder Camaro. If not, what fork are you using, aftermarket or factory and where did you get it.

Guy I don't believe they are the same, but I could be wrong. I use Lakewoods or D&R Camaro offers a USA made heavy duty replacement and the price was pretty cheap. After finding my GM fork cracked in two spots (a couple Camaros ago) I went with the heavy duty unit. When you see it you'll be impressed with how much it's beefed up. I had to grind quite a bit of material from it to fit it into my Lakewood scattershield, but it still was much stronger than the GM unit.

As far as I can remember, the only thing different in the linkage is the rod from the bellcrank to the fork. The weaker 6cyl part resembles a piece of all-thread, whereas the V8 part is a smooth piece of steel with a threaded piece going into it.
