What is a fair price to have a 12 bolt assembled? I have the eaton posi, new gears, bearing seal kit, I have all the parts just need the labor and want to see if my area shops are fair.

sherr my mechanic charged me $175 to install my new Eaton Posi that I got from Big Gear Head here.
Fill it up with Amsoil Series 2000 75w-90 and you are set to go.

$150-$250 is about average.

Mosier Engineering is just down the road from me - dropped it off when they opened- went and ate breakfast - came back in about an hour and it was done - it was either $125 or $150.

Hey Sher20, just had my rearend done at Houston Ring and Pinion on Sheppard Dr. He charged me $200.

12-bolt #1, I paid $200 for labor. They did a good job.

12-bolt #2, I did it myself. So far so good.
