I just installed a 700r4 and used the bowtie overdrives cable bracket, set it up with
a pressure gauge like your suppose to do. When you manually shift the car its fine
the car screams. When left in o.d. its a dog. It doesn't seem to be downshifting,
also at 30mph its already in O.D and its at 1100rpm which at that rpm there is no power so I kept it in drive to get the rpms up. The car has 3:73 gears
with a 26" tall tire.{its a mild 350 with 350hp and 400lbs trq}Also the torque converter is properly disengageing also when I brake.
Why is it not downshifting and why is it going into O.D so quik, are you suppose
to keep the 700r4 in the drive position and manually put it into O.D on the highway
or higher speeds? Any ideas?.
