I have a 1968 camaro with a 10 bolt "open" rear end and 3.55 Richmond rear end gears. I have checked with Richmond and I am told that my ring gear is 8.20 in diameter.

I am getting ready to install a POWERTARX no slip traction system in the rear end and thought that I would replace the axle seals and pinion seal while I was at it.

Only problem is that the federal mogul seal catalog at my local parts store does not have a listing for the seals for a 1968 Camaro 10 bolt rear end with a 8.20" ring gear.

Does anybody know the correct part numbers? Thanks for your help

The pinion seal is a National 8611 and the axle seals are National 8660S. Check the pinion seal before you try to install it. I think I had some problems with that one the last time I tried it.

Thaks very much. Both of the responses very helpful. Haven't gotten around to doing the work as I only have a one car garage and lately its been too cold here (Fairfax, VA) to do work out in the street. Am going to need the extra room to pull the axles. Thaks again for all the help.
