I have 700r4 installed, TV cable adjusted, 12 volt ready to wire to tranny, which one of the wires coming out of tranny gets the 12 volt to lock up converter? I have 3 wires coming out of tranny.

Knowing what you have to start will will help you figure out what you need. If you can drop the pan, here is a word of advice upon reinstall. Use an in-lb torque wrench and torque the pan bolts to the proper value. I don't have my manual in front of me, but I usually set them to 12 in-lbs. Someone will correct me if I'm too far off I'm sure. BPOS Dec 28th, 04, 06:38 AM 95-100 inch pounds on the pan bolts. 69futuresweetride Dec 28th, 04, 01:36 PM Thanks Dave, Al, I can drop the pan, not sure what im looking for after that. Any suggestions? Thanks Don dnult Dec 28th, 04, 01:45 PM Thanks BPOS, I think I was thinking in ft-lbs. Your figures come out to about 8 ft*lbs. BPOS Dec 28th, 04, 02:50 PM No prob, Dave. I think in "yard pounds" sometimes..... As to the wiring - I'm pretty sure that the 700 looks similar to the 200 as far as lock-up wiring goes. The TC lock-up solenoid should be way up toward the front of the trans, right behind the torque converter. The wire from that may or may or may not not go through another switch in the valve body. Either way, that is the wire you want to supply with 12 volts "keyed on". Here is a diagram from BTOD that might help. http://www.2004r.com/tech/tcc/relay_install/diagram.shtml 69futuresweetride Dec 28th, 04, 03:05 PM Thanks Al I will take care of this tommorow.
