I am ready to pull the original Saginaw 3 speed out of my 68 camaro and put a four speed in it. I have a good line on a Super T10 and hurst shifter for $600.00 if I want it. I know I will have to get a new clucth plate because of difference in splines. But what else do I need to look at? I don't want to cut the trans tunnel up or anything like that, will this work or should I look for an M21 and be done with it?

Thanks, Erik

Driveshaft yoke might be different.

The driveshaft yoke will need to be changed, the ST-10 uses a Turbo 400 style yoke. The driveshaft will need 1" taken out of it as the later transmissions are 1" longer. Also the shifter will need attention. On a ST-10 the shifter sits a differant angle than a Muncie, so you will need to either make a differant bracket to change the position of the shifter or make a differant shifter tower if you want it to work with the factory console. All in all an easy swap.
I hope this helps,
Nick
