My 700r seems to take an extra secound to engage when flooring it. Is this normal?
I have a 67 rs 327 with a new 700r(1000 miles, clean fluid)

I don't want to burn the thing out.

Are you talking about the tranny downshifting?

Everyone will tell you to buy the tv made Ez kit from www.700r4.com (http://www.700r4.com) This kit sets up the proper relationship between carb and the tv cable. If you are not using this I would reccomend it. I tried to avoid it, but I broke down and bought the kit($95) and pressure guage($29). The difference is night and day.

If that cable isn't adjusted correctly, do not drive the car. Get it fixed as soon as possible, or that 700 will be dead.
